Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris, born October 20 1964 is an American politician and lawyer. She is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is both the first female vice-president as well as the highest-ranking female official of the United American. Being a part of the Democratic Party, she was the attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017 and a United States senator representing California in 2017-2021. Harris was born in Oakland and attended Howard University, University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Harris started her career in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office prior to her move to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office and later the City Attorney of San Francisco's office. In 2003, she was the San Francisco district attorney. She was elected Attorney General of California in 2010, and was re-elected in 2014. Harris was the United States junior senator from California, from 2017 to 2021. Harris beat Loretta Sanchez in the 2016 Senate election to become the 2nd African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate. As Senator, Harris was a vocal advocate for federal de-scheduling of healthcare, and cannabis legalization, a path to citizenship of undocumented immigrants, as well as the DREAM Act which bans assault weapons. Her most well-known accomplishments are her direct questions to Trump administration officials in Senate hearings.
