Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress as well as a comedian and writer. O'Hara is the recipient of a number of prizes that include a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was named as an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara became famous as an actor when she joined in 1974 of The Second City, an comedy troupe that was based in Toronto. Together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, she was part the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working alongside Candy in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara was praised for her stand-up and writing skills, winning the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for Variety Series in 1981. O'Hara was named to the Second City artistic advisory board in 2022. She was joined by Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert and Tina Fey.
